The Australasian Tunnelling Conference (ATS2020+1) is fast approaching and will be held between the 10th and 13th of May 2021 in Melbourne. The conference is the Australasian tunnelling industry’s premier event, and after what has been a fairly challenging year for all we are really looking forward to hosting our delegates in the fantastic venue that is the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC) on the banks of the Yarra River.

The conference organising committee has developed an interesting and varied technical program, highlighting the amazing tunnelling work in the region, as well as a large industry trade exhibition running in parallel with the technical conference, all under the same roof.  On the day prior to the conference (Monday 10th May) two technical workshops will be run, which are exclusive for delegates only. One will be a fundamentals of safe tunnelling course, delivered by experienced tunnelling industry professionals at the newly opened Victorian Tunnelling Centre, and the other workshop will demonstrate the newly commissioned Victorian University fire testing facility through a full-scale structural fire test.

The ATS2020+1 organising committee is fully committed to delivering a high-quality event in a safe and appropriately managed environment for all attendees. This will be a great time for our industry to get together once again after what has been a long hiatus in face-to-face events. The committee has released the Preliminary event Program which can be downloaded from the conference website, as well as details on delegate registration, sponsorship opportunities and the exclusive pre-conference workshops.

The conference will be a busy three days, plus pre-conference workshops and site tours to key Melbourne tunnelling projects, and if you are spending extra time seeing what Melbourne and Victoria has to offer, then we hope that you have a wonderful time.

For all sponsorship and delegate registration information, including the pre-conference workshops, please head to: www.ats2020.com.au
