CTE Ltd has announced that CREG has been awarded a contract to supply a Slurry TBM for Lot 10 of Wuhan Metro Line 6. The TBM, with a cutterhead diameter of 6.5m, will excavate the Qinwu Running Tunnels with lengths of 1732m and 1691m. The tunnels pass under the Han River for approximately 350m. The tunnels will have a finished internal diameter of 5500mm.

With the recent acquisition of Aker Wirth tunnel-boring and shaft-boring technology CTE is now in a position to offer the full range of EPB, Slurry and Hard Rock TBMs. CTE Ltd was established with the sole purpose of marketing and presenting the Tunnel Boring Machines manufactured by CREG (formally CREC-TBM) and to provide full support to users of CREG TBMs in terms of Field Service and after sales activities.
