At the RETC Conference & Exhibit, in Washington DC, last week, Canada’s Delcan and Italian-based consultancy GEODATA announced a new joint venture partnership, which will allow the companies to provide a comprehensive suite of services for tunnel and underground infrastructure projects in North America.

Delcan GEODATA is now in a position to carry out the development, evaluation, preliminary and final design, and project and construction management of tunnels and related underground infrastructure.

“We are very excited to announce this joint venture of Delcan and GEODATA, which brings together specialized expertise to better serve clients in the tunneling and underground infrastructure industry,” said Delcan Division Vice President Joanne McCall. “With each company having unique expertise in the tunneling industry, this collaboration means that we can offer a wide scope of value added services to meet our clients’ growing needs.

GEODATA is a geo-engineering and tunnel design consultancy, based in Italy, with presence in more than 25 countries. GEODATA has designed and supervised the construction of more than 2,500 projects worldwide.

Delcan, celebrating 60 years of service, is a multi-disciplinary engineering, planning, management and technology firm based in Canada. The company provides a broad range of integrated systems and infrastructure solutions within the Rail and Transit, Roads and Highways, Structures, Water, Freight and ITS markets.
