Client, Femern A/S has prequalified companies to submit tenders for two consulting framework agreements for the 18km Fehmarnbelt immersed tube tunnel between Rødbyhavn in Denmark and Puttgarden in Germany.The companies were prequalified for a framework agreement on client consulting services and technical in-house consulting services, respectively.
The Framework agreement on client consulting services contract covers services relating to the establishment of the fixed link across the Fehmarnbelt in the period up to the construction phase, during the construction phase, in connection with the transition to the operation phase as well as assistance in relation to potential claims from the contractors during the construction phase and for a period after the end of the construction phase.
The Framework agreement on technical in-house consulting services will primarily consist of providing consultants for the technical division of Femern A/S as resource personnel to work as the division’s own staff for varying periods of time on an ad hoc basis.
Furthermore, the consultant will be required to assist Femern A/S on an ad hoc basis with quality assurance of technical services provided by other consultants, e.g. by the client consultant pursuant to the framework agreement on client consulting services.
