In the UK’s Budget today, Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves has confirmed funding will be made available so that tunnelling works on HS2 can be completed from Old Oak Common into Euston Station.
The Euston Tunnel will carry HS2 passengers between London Euston Station and Old Oak Common Station. The tunnels will be 7.2km long and at the deepest point will run 50m below ground, and will bored using two TBMs launched from the eastern section of HS2’s Old Oak Common Station.
