On November 10th and 11th 2016, the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association will hold the second ITA Tunnelling Awards, this year in Singapore. Participation has been highly competitive this year, with 98 entries from 25 countries competing for awards in nine categories. The 17-strong expert judging panel concluded the review of entries last week, with 33 entries now shortlisted. The 33 finalists are:

In addition to the November 11th one-day ITA Tunnelling Awards Conference and Banquet Dinner, organized by the ITA, during which the awards will be presented, a one-day Symposium on underground development and technology, featuring 8 outstanding keynote lectures, is organized on November 10th by the Tunnelling and Underground Construction Society, Singapore (TUCSS).
At the crossroads of technology and sustainability, this symposium will focus on reinventing urban planning, anticipating urban expansion and building cities of the future through combining mechanization and renewable resources. These lectures will provide a unique forum to discover, share and learn about state-of-the-art developments and latest initiatives from all over the world.
The symposium, conference, and banquet, will take place at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel and Conference Centre.
