Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) has awarded Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co. (Singapore) Pte Ltd. a S$615.9M contract to construct a road tunnel, an MRT station box and commuter facilities, including pedestrian overhead bridges, bus stops, sheltered walkways, and cycling paths between Sin Ming Avenue and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3. Works on this contract are expected to begin by second quarter of 2019.

Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co. (Singapore) Pte Ltd will design and construct a 800m long dual 3-lane road tunnel integrated with the future Cross Island Line Teck Ghee MRT stationand associated escape staircases and entrances .

The 21.5km NSC is Singapore’s first integrated transport corridor, featuring continuous bus lanes and at-grade cycling trunk routes, to serve public bus commuters, cyclists and pedestrians, in line with our car-lite vision. The NSC is expected to be completed in 2026.
