LTA statement on 'depression' incident

At about 8.30am on 24 April, a depression appeared at the centre lane of Upper Changi Road East (in direction towards Expo). A tipper truck that was passing tilted into the hole. The driver was not injured and there were no other injuries. To ensure the safety of motorists, two lanes were immediately closed to traffic while the truck was recovered.

Traffic has been diverted and LTA has deployed traffic wardens to guide traffic flow. LTA is currently carrying out reinstatement works.

LTA is investigating the incident. We will also continue to monitor underground construction works in the surrounding area. This incident is not expected to impact the construction progress of the Downtown Line 3.
