CRCHI claim TBM delivery in record time

On August 4th, China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Co., Ltd (CRCHI) completed the production of a 6.47m diameter double-shield TBM, after spending just 5 months in the machine’s design and manufacture, saving – according to CRCHI – two thirds the time a TBM of this size would usually take to deliver. Nepal welcomes first ever TBM

Nepal will welcome its first ever TBM this summer, a 5.06m diameter Double Shield machine for the Bheri Babai Diversion Multipurpose Project (BBDMP).  The Robbins TBM underwent its Factory Acceptance Testing in July 2017 and is currently being shipped to the jobsite in the Siwalik Range – part of the Southern Himalayan Mountains – where it will be prepared for launch in November 2017. HS2 contracts officially signed

The UK’s HS2 project took a major step forward today, with the formal signing of contracts to deliver the tunnels, bridges and earthworks that will carry the first phase of the UK’s new high speed railway from London to Birmingham in 2026. Read more

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc to acquire CH2M

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. and CH2M HILL Companies Ltd. have announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Jacobs will acquire all of the outstanding shares of CH2M in a cash and stock transaction with an enterprise value of approximately $3.27bn, including approximately $416M of CH2M net debt.
